A summer cruise through the idyllic Highlands of Scotland aboard the luxurious M/V Lord of the Glens is a wondrous experience. Sail along the historic Caledonian Canal to glorious Fort William, Tobermory, Kyle of Lochalsh, Oban and Loch Ness in a scenic voyage through peaceful sheltered waters. Prices include transfers from Inverness airport or railway station, all meals onboard and free car parking. MV Lord of the Glens
The MV Lord of the Glens has 27 beautifully appointed state cabins all outward facing with en suite facilities, writing table, satellite TV, trouser press, hairdryer, internal telephone and individually controlled heating and air-conditioning. The 'Robert Louis Stevenson' restaurant presents cuisine from the abundance of local and freshly sourced produce whilst the 'Sir Walter Scott' bar and lounge provides magnificent all-round panoramic views of the Highland scene. The vessel is adorned with classical pieces and clad in rich mahogany hard woods and is fully air-conditioned and heated.
Morning transfer Inverness to Kyle of Lochalsh. Sail at lunchtime via Kyle Rhea, Sound of Sleat, and Sound of Mull to Oban.
Morning sail via Loch Linnhe to the entrance of the Caledonian Canal at Corpach (Fort William). Later ascend ‘Neptune’s Staircase’ to Banavie in the shadow of Ben Nevis. Later sail via various man-made sections of the Caledonian Canal, Loch Lochy and Loch Oich to Fort Augustus.
Sail via Loch Ness, Urquhart Castle, Loch Dochfour to Inverness.
Disembark after breakfast.
