The 'Seven Wonders of the World’ is a widely known list that features seven extraordinary constructions from around the world. In 2001 a Swiss company, New Open World Corporation, decided to choose the New Seven Wonders of the World from a selection of 200 existing monuments. The results were announced on July 7, 2007 and are as follows:  The Great Wall of China,  City Of Petra -Jordan,  Christ The Redeemer-Brazil , Machu Piccu-Peru,  Cichen Itza-Mexico,  The Colosseum-Italy,  The Taj Mahal-India.
